About Maldives

Why we love Maldives

One island, one resort — overwater villas above glass-clear lagoons, house reefs alive with turtles, and sunsets that empty the mind.

Best time to visit
November to April for calm seas and sunshine. May to October brings occasional showers, better rates and excellent manta ray season on some atolls.

The Maldives is less a destination than a feeling: stepping from your villa’s deck straight into a turquoise lagoon, the only sounds the water beneath the floorboards and the breeze through the palms. Each of the country’s resorts sits on its own island, so privacy and calm come built in.

Beneath the surface lies one of the richest marine environments on earth. Snorkel the house reef with reef sharks and turtles, take a sunset dolphin cruise, or join a marine biologist to look for manta rays. Above it, days drift between the spa, the beach and long dinners on the sand.

Choosing the right resort is everything — the transfer by speedboat or seaplane, the meal plan, the villa type and the reef all shape your stay. We match the island to the way you want to spend your days.

Questions about Maldives

Anything else on your mind? Ask us on WhatsApp — a real person replies.

Do Indians need a visa for the Maldives?

No advance visa is needed. Indian travellers receive a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival with a valid passport, confirmed hotel booking, return ticket and the online traveller declaration, which we help you complete.

Speedboat or seaplane — what is the difference?

Resorts close to Malé are reached by speedboat (20–60 minutes). Further atolls need a seaplane or a domestic flight plus boat. Seaplanes fly only in daylight, which affects flight timings — we plan this for you.

Which meal plan should we choose?

Resort dining is the main expense in the Maldives, so most couples choose half board or full board, and all-inclusive is excellent value if you enjoy drinks and activities. We compare the options for your resort.
