About this journey
A first Europe trip that does not feel rushed. Rather than eight countries in eight days, you spend three nights in Paris, four in the Swiss Alps and two in Venice, linked by high-speed trains through spectacular scenery.
In Paris, see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre and cruise the Seine at night. In Switzerland, ride to Jungfraujoch and up Mount Titlis, and cruise Lake Lucerne. In Venice, wander the canals and see St Mark’s Square before the day-trippers arrive.

Itinerary
Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Paris
Arrive in Paris and transfer to your hotel near the Eiffel Tower. Take an evening stroll along the Seine and watch the tower sparkle on the hour.
Day 2Paris highlights
A guided city tour past the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées and Notre-Dame, then up to the summit of the Eiffel Tower. In the evening, cruise the Seine past the illuminated monuments.
Day 3The Louvre & Montmartre
Morning at the Louvre with timed tickets. The afternoon is free for Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur, or for shopping on the grands boulevards.
Day 4Paris to Interlaken
Board the high-speed TGV Lyria to Basel and continue by Swiss train to Interlaken, between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Your Swiss Travel Pass starts today.
Day 5Jungfraujoch
Ride the cogwheel railway through the Eiger to Jungfraujoch, at 3,454 metres, for the Aletsch glacier, the Ice Palace and snow even in summer. Return via Grindelwald.
Day 6To Lucerne
Take the scenic GoldenPass line over the Brünig Pass to Lucerne. Walk across the Chapel Bridge and through the painted old town.
Day 7Mount Titlis & Lake Lucerne
Ride the revolving Rotair cable car to the glacier at Mount Titlis, then return for an afternoon cruise on Lake Lucerne.
Day 8Through the Alps to Venice
A scenic train journey south through the Gotthard and Milan brings you to Venice in the afternoon. A water taxi to your hotel on the Grand Canal is the perfect arrival.
Day 9Venice
An early walk through St Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace with a guide, then a gondola ride through the quiet canals. The evening is free to get lost in the lanes.
Day 10Departure
Transfer by water taxi and car to Marco Polo Airport for your flight home.

Can we add Amsterdam or Rome?
Yes. Amsterdam fits easily before Paris, and Rome or Florence after Venice. We will adjust the trains and quote the extra nights.
Are flights included in this package?
Flights are not included, so you can choose the airline and timings that suit you. We are happy to add flights from your city to your quotation.
