About Rajasthan
The pink city of Jaipur, the lakes of Udaipur and the golden dunes of Jaisalmer — Rajasthan is royal India, told in sandstone and colour.
Rajasthan is India at its most theatrical. In Jaipur, the honeycombed facade of the Hawa Mahal glows pink at sunrise and the Amber Fort crowns the hills above the old city. In Jodhpur, the immense Mehrangarh Fort looks down on a sea of blue houses, and in Udaipur, palaces seem to float on the still waters of Lake Pichola.
Further west, the Thar Desert takes over. Jaisalmer’s golden fort is still lived in, its lanes lined with carved havelis, and an evening on the dunes of Sam — camels silhouetted against the sunset, folk music by firelight — is one of India’s great travel experiences.
The joy of Rajasthan is in staying somewhere special: heritage havelis, palace hotels and desert camps where history is part of the architecture. We plan journeys with comfortable drives, expert local guides and time to simply enjoy where you are.

A week covers Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur comfortably. With ten days or more you can add Jaisalmer and the desert, or Ranthambore for tiger safaris.
We usually recommend a private car with an experienced chauffeur — the drives are scenic and flexible. For long legs, such as Jaipur to Jaisalmer, an overnight train or a short flight can save time.
Yes. Rajasthan has some of the world’s finest heritage hotels, from restored havelis to working palaces. We can plan an all-heritage itinerary or blend palace stays with modern luxury hotels.
