About this journey
This is Rajasthan as it deserves to be seen — from the windows of palaces. You stay in heritage hotels in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, travel by private car with an experienced chauffeur, and explore each city with expert local guides.
You will climb to the Amber Fort at sunrise, walk the bazaars of the pink city, stand on the ramparts of Mehrangarh above Jodhpur’s blue houses and end with a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. The drives are broken with stops at Ranakpur’s marble Jain temple and village life along the way.

Itinerary
Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Jaipur
Arrive in Jaipur and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, see the Hawa Mahal lit up and stroll through the bazaars of the old city.
Day 2Amber Fort & the pink city
Reach the Amber Fort at opening time to see its mirrored halls before the crowds. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, the observatory of Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal with your guide.
Day 3Jaipur at leisure
A slower day: a block-printing workshop in Sanganer, a cooking class with a local family, or simply the hotel spa. Optional evening at Nahargarh Fort for views over the city.
Day 4To Jodhpur
Drive west across the Rajasthan countryside to Jodhpur and check in beneath the walls of Mehrangarh Fort. Evening walk through the clock-tower market.
Day 5Mehrangarh & the blue city
Explore Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s most imposing, and the marble cenotaph of Jaswant Thada. Walk down through the blue-washed lanes of the old Brahmin quarter.
Day 6Via Ranakpur to Udaipur
Drive through the Aravalli hills, stopping at the 15th-century Jain temple of Ranakpur with its 1,444 carved marble pillars, before arriving in Udaipur, the city of lakes.
Day 7Udaipur
Visit the City Palace, the Jagdish Temple and the garden of Saheliyon ki Bari. As evening falls, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola past the Jag Mandir island palace.
Day 8Departure
Transfer to Udaipur airport for your onward flight.
